From now until Dec. 30, music editor Gabe Vodicka will reveal his top 10 (non-local) albums of 2015, and news editor Blake Aued (along with his 17-month old daughter, Iris) will review each selection in response.
6. Joey Bada$$: B4.DA.$$
Gabe: A boldly backwards-looking boom-bap record from a young, up-and-coming MC in a year where most mainstream hip hop traveled further down the psych/cloud-rap rabbit hole. It shouldn’t have worked, but it did.
Blake: I liked this guy better the first time, when he was called Craig Mack.
Iris: Definitely caught a couple head nods, then she just wandered off. Two milks out of four.
