For those still sore from the Great Celebrity Die-Off of 2016, The Everywhen offers a bit of musical comfort to ease you into the new year: a tribute to David Bowie with a performance “by true fans, for true fans.” The new group, led by Athens mainstay Chris McKay, promises to skip the cheeky costumes and makeup that accompany most Bowie cover shows to focus on the songs—not just the Thin White Duke’s best-known work (“Ashes to Ashes” and “Rebel Rebel” have both graced the band’s setlist as of late), but “musical surprises that have rarely been performed live by anyone,” including an exclusive arrangement by former Bowie pianist Mike Garson.
