Athens’s favorite Second Amendment crusader and U.S. Senate hopeful, U.S. Rep. Paul Broun (R-Athens), is once again giving away another firearm to his supporters.
Despite the criticism from U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey, another Senate candidate, who called the giveaway “gimmicky,” an email blast Broun sent out this morning says “100,000 patriots” signed up to win his campaign’s last gun giveaway and, given it’s success, he’s doing it again. But this time “things are different,” and the winner will have their choice between an assault rifle or a handgun.
His email goes on with the same rhetoric about President Barack Obama, the Democrats and liberal media’s desire to “take away our guns.”
Meanwhile. House Bill 875, a bill to increase Georgians’ rights to carry guns, has made its way through the House and is heading for the Senate.
