CAAMP, Crooked Spines

From Athens, OH, lead vocalist Taylor Meier fronts CAAMP with a husky warmth that sends musical embers flying and transports the listener to someplace both far off and familiar. With Meier’s childhood friend Evan Westfall on banjo, the band’s easygoing folk sound is a breath of fresh wintry air. The duo added a third member on bass, Matt Vinson, who can be heard on their latest album released in July, By and By. Intimate yet boundless, the band scintillates with certainty, crackles with positivity and provides audiences with timeless stories played on worn-in strings. Also from this alternate Athens, Crooked Spines blends dream-pop melodies with folk tradition against a steady beat.
