Comprised of six University of Georgia students, up-and-coming Southern rockers AFTM released their debut album, the self-titled-ish Around for the Moment, Jan. 22. (Another acronym the group has teased: “A Few Too Many.”) To celebrate, the band will play a release show Saturday evening at the Georgia Theatre, a venue no doubt chosen due to the good fortune it previously brought the band, which packed the house at its first show there last year. A first single off the new album, the jammy, melodic “Morning,” was released earlier this month, giving curious fans a taste of the record’s style. Maradeen and Underground Springhouse open Saturday’s show.
