With the release of its sophomore album, Another Eternity, electronic duo Purity Ring washed away a lot of the dark and sinister vibes of its debut in favor of a more brightly lit and accessible pop experience. Megan James’ vocals may be a little bit more bubbly, and Corin Roddick’s beats may be more cheerful, but they haven’t lost any of the spark that roared through when they first arrived on the scene. Now with a more diverse discography and a slew of hip hop collaborations under their belt (including spots from Danny Brown, Angel Haze and Ab-Soul), there’s no better time to check out the best male-female electronic pop pairing since The Human League.
