Tonight in Athens: Ona, Semicircle, Waste Layer

Several recommended shows to keep you warm tonight in the Classic Cold-Ass City:

At the Caledonia Lounge, catchy, shit-kicking Huntington, WV rockers Ona kick off a night of music that will also feature Atlanta Americana outfit Tedo Stone and fast Flagpole favorites Oak House.

Over at the Georgia Theatre, openers Semicircle, whose terrific debut landed at No. 8 on our year-end list, warm the stage for Florida indie outfit Roadkill Ghost Choir and fawned-over local folk-rock collective Family and Friends.

And at Hi-Lo Lounge in Normaltown, a free punk show features the debut of a new Athens supergroup called Bathrooms, as well as locals Nurture, The Rodney Kings and Atlanta thrash-punk scamps Waste Layer.
