The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik

Performed by the Last Great Hunt theater company from Australia, “The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer” is a one-person multimedia show that melds animation, music and acting with good old-fashioned puppetry. Created by Tim Watts in collaboration with Arielle Gray, the show is a touching story set near the end of the world. Rising ocean levels have left survivors struggling to live atop skyscrapers and mountains, leading scientists to wonder if it may be possible for humans to live underwater. Alvin Sputnik, who has just list his wife, accepts the dangerous mission of journeying through the ocean’s mysterious depths in a last-ditch effort to save the human race.
