An exhibition of paintings, drawings, sculptures, garments and other artifacts will illuminate the life of Eddie Owens Martin, who created the internationally recognized visionary art environment Pasaquan in Buena Vista. An opening reception will be preceded by a book signing with Tom Patterson, author of St. EOM in the Land of Pasaquan: The Life and Times and Art of Eddie Owens Martin, which has been recently reprinted by UGA Press. The reception also celebrates two other new exhibitions, “Call & Response: Works by René Shoemaker and Judy Bales” and “Perennial Pattern,” a series of collaborative monoprints by Sara Parker and Simon Hunt. A presentation and panel discussion on Pasaquan will follow on Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
