Max Richter With the American Contemporary Music Ensemble

A rare crossover figure in the world of modern classical music, German-born, British-based Max Richter explores the spaces between orchestral performance, minimalist composition, ambient drone and electro-acoustic experimentation. Best known in the popular sphere for his contributions to dozens of TV and movie soundtracks—his atmospheric work has appeared projects from “The Leftovers” to Arrival—Richter has also released eight rich and variegated studio albums, including the sprawling concept effort Sleep/From Sleep. Joined in Athens by the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, he’ll perform his searching 2010 album Infra, plus selections from 2004’s The Blue Notebooks.
