31 Days of Darkness Kickoff

Leaves are turning colors, there’s a lil’ nip in the evening air, and Flicker’s monthlong horror-movie marathon is back to fill Athenians with the spooky spirit of the season.

With screenings every night of October, 31 Days of Darkness will showcase beloved B-movies and obscure cult classics that are by turns gross, hilarious and just plain terrifying. Highlights include Psycho Beach Party (Oct. 10), Slumber Party Massacre II (Oct. 17), Dead Alive (Oct. 25) and Jorge Torres-Torres’ Friday the 13th Revision (Oct. 26).

The series kicks off with a double feature on Oct. 1 featuring the 1987 slasher film Killer Workout plus 1989’s gory, absurdist Death Spa.
