Lydia Lunch Retrovirus, Bataille, DiCaprio

Since her debut in the late 1970s as the NYC no-wave scene’s resident juvenile delinquent—most notably fronting the caustic anti-punk outfit Teenage Jesus and the Jerks—Lydia Lunch has enjoyed a singular and prolific solo career, during which she has collaborated with everyone from Thurston Moore to Nels Cline to Nick Cave. More recently, she has fronted the avant-blues band Big Sexy Noise, featuring members of UK act Gallon Drunk. The Spain-based Lunch’s latest project, Retrovirus, features material from her vast back catalog as reinterpreted by an all-star cast, including members of noise-rock mainstays The Flying Luttenbachers, Pussy Galore and Child Abuse.
