Die, Mommie, Die!

In Town & Gown Players’ campy Second Stage production, Nathan Altman stars as Angela Arden, an ex-pop singer who poisons her husband, Sol (played by Ed Long), in order to pursue her younger lover, Tony (Diego Wolf). Her children Edith (Kat Marie Mitchell) and Lance (Nick Ciarochi) conspire to avenge their father’s death by dosing Angela with LSD, resulting in a far-out comic thriller that is equal parts Hollywood kitsch and Greek tragedy. This is the T&G directorial debut of Leslie Kimbell, an active member of the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre for 15 years. Opening night will be a fundraiser for the Boybutante AIDS Foundation, with half of proceeds ($10 admission) donated to support the nonprofit.
