An annual ACC-sponsored fundraiser, Roll Out the Barrels transforms 21 ordinary rain barrels into works of functional garden art. Several of the barrels are immediately identifiable by their distinct styles, like Dan Smith’s “Spontaneous Monsterification” motif, Lou Kregel’s geometric water droplet design and Terrapin artist Lily Swindle’s climbing hops. Watercolorist Jamie Calkin and intern Lauren Krueger pay homage to the fabulous 40 Watt Club, while Andrew Lentini’s design depicts a “Rainy Day Roast” for Jittery Joe’s. Other artists include Chris Taylor, Maggie Baxter, Ansley Sproull, David Mack and Cameron Bliss. Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the ACC Green Schools Program.
