Todd Oliver’s “Dogs Gone Wild”

This is the Athens premiere of some really kooky comedy. Ventriloquist Todd Oliver and his “talking” dogs Irving, Lucy and Elvis will perform “Dogs Gone Wild” at the UGA Ramsey Concert Hall this weekend. As Oliver’s website (www.funnydog.com) states: “When they get behind the microphone, they turn everyday K-9 experiences into knockout comedy.” Not convinced? Well, he also has three ventriloquist dummies (Pops, a crazy, confused old-timer; Miss Lily, his lifelong love; and Joey, the lovable bad boy) as extra characters in this family-friendly show, and Oliver’s backing band, The Smiling Eyes, performs original rock music as accompaniment. Now you’re sold. The show starts at 8 p.m. on both nights. Visit www.pac.uga.edu for more info
