As a local business located on Prince Avenue, we wanted to put our support behind T-SPLOST Project 16: Prince Avenue Corridor Improvements. Our customers and neighbors not only drive to our store, but we also have many pedestrians and cyclists who frequent our co-op. We would like to not only improve the safety of their experience when they visit us on Prince Avenue, we would also like for it to be a pleasant experience for all our internal and external customers. We have seen many accidents and traffic jams outside our business over the years, and think the improvement listed in this project would go a long way toward alleviating those incidents. Also, continued improvements to transportation, outdoor space and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists will only help all local businesses along Prince Avenue and will contribute to a vibrant and economically healthy downtown Athens.
