Athens-Clarke County police are asking citizens for help finding the people responsible for gunfire at an Eastside apartment complex.
According to police, a brawl broke out at Athens Gardens Apartments off Lexington Road at about 12:30 p.m. today. The brawl spilled over into a neighboring apartment complex, The Oaks, where shots were fired at someone running away from a dark-colored truck. (Thankfully, no one was hit.)
“This senseless violence endangered innocent residents at both complexes [including] small children and anyone else both inside and outside their residences,” police said.
Police asked anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 706-613-3342.
And jeez, Athens—get a grip on yourself.
UPDATE APR. 23: Police have arrested Marquavion Antone Tillman and charged him with aggravated battery.
