Legion Pool will open for the summer May 23—assuming the University of Georgia doesn’t try to tear it down again, of course.
The historic 78-year-old pool, beloved by professors and their families, will be open through Aug. 8. Hours will be 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. until Aug. 1, when it will open at 2 p.m.
Students, faculty and staff with valid UGA cards, as well as their guests, can use the pool. Admission is $3 for students, $4 for faculty and staff, $3 for children ages 3-15 (who must be accompanied by an adult) and $5 for guests (who must be accompanied by a cardholder) and Friends of Campus Life members.
The pool is open to people who aren’t affiliated with the university through the Friends of Campus Life program. Memberships are $40 and are available at the Tate Student Center business office. Dues help support student programs and services.
