Flagpole Athens Music Awards Preview

Hundreds of readers voted for their favorite local musicians, and Thursday we’ll reveal the winners. This year’s Flagpole Athens Music Awards show will feature awesome musical performances from Double Ferrari, Misnomer, The YOD, Sarah Zúñiga and Seth Hendershot with Ishues, and it’ll all be hosted by local hip-hop superstar Linqua Franqa.

Per tradition, jazz mainstay Kenosha Kid will provide a groovin’ soundtrack for the evening. Special guests will include Athens Mayor-elect Kelly Girtz, representatives from the South East Women Wrestlers and many other luminaries.

Tickets are available at the Morton box office and Flagpole’s office at 220 Prince Ave. They’re $10 in advance and $12 at the door, or $7 for those with an AthFest wristband. Doors are at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 sharp. See y’all there!
