Commüne, The Grawks and Swear Jar performed at Southern Brewing Co. on Friday, Feb. 3 as part of Aubrey Entertainment’s RPM series. The weekly series spotlighting rock, punk and metal acts will continue with Bleach Garden, Beat Up and Deaf Condors on Feb. 10; Bastardane, Klept and Parathion on Feb. 17; and Rosie & the Ratdogs, Wyld Staleyz and Sleazy Cheetah on Feb. 24.

A celebration of life was held for William Orten Carlton at the 40 Watt Club on Saturday, Feb. 4. To read memories of Ort, check out last week’s cover story. A full recording of the memorial is available here.

That night at Flicker Theatre & Bar, Tyler Key & The Strangers, Chelsea Lovitt (Nashville) and Rodney Sanders played in celebration of Seth Martin’s new art exhibition, which will remain on view through the end of February.

Over at Ciné, Tears for the Dying, Go Public and Pylon Reenactment Society played to a sold out room.
