Listen to New Music from Thayer Sarrano, Mothers and Houston in the Blind


As the slow summer season wraps up, there’s plenty of exciting stuff in store from Athens’ talented locals, including the Aug. 28 release of Shaky, the new album from psych-rock songstress Thayer Sarrano. Check out the record’s airy first single, “Touch My Face,” below:

Also in the works is the debut LP from Mothers, the alternately fragile and forceful folk-rock vehicle for songwriter and artist Kristine Leschper’s intense, emotive tunes. The album’s not due until next year, but Brooklyn Vegan just debuted its first single, “No Crying in Baseball.”

Finally, new local band Houston in the Blind, which features members of Dead Confederate, Ponderosa and Snowden, recently dropped two teaser tracks from its upcoming debut, Limbs, out Oct. 9. Check out “Fire” below:
