Hear New Music From The Goons, Kissing Booth, Monsoon


The concert calendar has slowed to a crawl these last few weeks of 2014, but a bunch of local bands are gearing up to release new albums in the coming days and weeks. Get a taste of three recommended recordings below:

Together, Four Eyes’ Erin Lovett and Futo’s Patrick Brick are Kissing Booth, whose twee-as-fuck-and-they-don’t-care-who-knows-it third outing is now available to stream or download via Bandcamp. The duo plays Flicker Theatre & Bar this Saturday, Jan. 3. Check out Perfecto:

After two years of hype, Monsoon is finally set to drop its long-awaited debut full-length, Ride A’Rolla, with a show at the Georgia Theatre on Monday, Jan. 12. Here’s a lil’ taste:

And The Goons, the pop-rock project of local legends Joe Rowe (The Glands), Jim Hix (Casper and the Cookies) and Andy Gonzales (M Coast), has released an effervescent EP follow-up to their self-titled 2012 debut.
