Flagpole Premieres! Hand Sand Hands: ‘Before Home’ Video

Hand Sand Hands, the experimental pop project from local guy Jonathan Miller, releases its debut LP, Lord of Talk, on Oct. 12. (You can stream the whole thing here.) Today, we’re excited to premiere a video for one of the album’s tracks, the distorted, skittering “Before Home.”

The video, directed by Andre Durand and Maria Juranic, matches the song’s avant-spooky vibe quite nicely. Stream it below.

Says Miller:

Andre Durand and Maria Juranic tried to make a video that matched the mood of the song without specifically matching the rhythm of the track, so instead the collected scenes they created move in and out independent to everything but mood. [The video] was shot in Brooklyn.
