Ruby Kendrick is now Ruby the RabbitFoot, Playing Thursday at Caledonia

For deep, dark reasons forever unbeknownst to anyone outside her inner circle, local pop-folk songwriter Ruby Kendrick has announced that from this day forward she shall be known as Ruby the RabbitFoot. And Ruby the RabbitFoot will be playing this Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Caledonia Lounge with Brothers and Shonna Tucker.

The show, presented by Tiny Hat Productions, is a “re-release party” for Kendrick’s—uh, I mean, RabbitFoot’s—2010 album No Weight No Chain. Flagpole recently caught up with the singer to gather the deets.

“Well, there will be new album art,” she says. “Makeovers are always fun. We will also be selling rabbit foot key chains with download codes attached. I think everyone could use a little bit of luck, and a little bit of music. Brothers and Shonna Tucker will be playing with us at the release show, and we hope to play some new songs that we’ve been working on.”

Should be a good time. As she says: “It’s all celebration.”
