The subject line of the email I sent myself about this new development read “Boooo!” It turns out Farm Cart—by far the most successful food cart in our town, due at least partially to its location (the patio of Farm 255, being a private space, isn’t subject to the same limitations on permits as much of the rest of downtown Athens), but also due to its reliably delicious grub—is no longer serving up weekday lunch at 255 W. Washington. Hence: “Boooo!” Sure, the cart is all over Athens these days, with Thursday nights at Normal Bar, Saturday mornings at the Athens Farmers Market and regular appearances at all kinds of events, but it’s really sad to see it gone from its original digs. Is it such a pain to move? Does Farm have other plans for the space? Sigh…
