Athens-Clarke County is now accepting applications for a third round of emergency loans for small businesses and nonprofits affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications are due by Friday, June 18. Businesses and nonprofits with 20 or fewer employees that are physically located within Athens-Clarke County are eligible. Click here to apply.
In July, the ACC Commission devoted $1 million to a revolving loan fund as part of its Resiliency Package for COVID-19 relief. In the first two rounds, $550,000 was distributed to 59 local businesses and nonprofits. Loans range from $3,000 to $12,500.
The funds are distributed by the Joint Development Authority of Athens-Clarke County and Winterville, made up of ACC Mayor Kelly Girtz, Winterville Mayor Dodd Ferrelle and five citizen appointees.
