Calendar Pick: ‘Perspectives’ Opening Reception and Preview

“Perspectives: Georgia Pottery Invitational” is an annual pottery show, featuring and selling over 5,000 works by 50 potters from across the state. It is the largest functional pottery exhibit in the Southeast, drawing in collectors, patrons and art lovers from all over the country. The opening reception for the event’s 22nd year is a celebration of its participating potters, and tickets include appetizers, wine, musical entertainment in the OCAF gardens and a special first viewing and shopping opportunity before the exhibit opens to the public. Perspectives is running from Aug. 24–Sept. 8 and is free and open to the public from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. daily. Pottery making demonstrations will also be held Aug. 24 and Aug. 31 in Rocket Hall at 1 p.m.
