The Solstice Sisters are a trio made up of friends Maggie Hunter, Susan Staley and Anna Hiers. Since 1994, these three unique musicians have been harmonizing old time country ballads, traditional folk and ’40s swing through energetic live shows. The group has performed in music festivals such as Bear On The Square and North Georgia Folk Festival, and were regulars at the live radio show Mountain Music and Medicine Show. Of their three recordings, two are holiday themed: Holiday Music From Around The World, recorded in 1999, and Maybe By Christmas, released in 2019. These songs will be the main attraction at their annual Hendershot’s performance for the holiday season. Joining the Solstice Sisters tonight will be Mike Harrison on bass and banjo and Andy Carlson (The Normaltown Flyers) on fiddle, mandolin and guitar.
