The Garden Bed, Vol. 1

For the kickoff of a planned series of showcases spotlighting up-and-coming hip-hop artists from Athens, Atlanta and around the region, local emcee Seline Haze has put together an exciting lineup of underground talent. The main attraction is buzzy ATL duo Paid in AmeriKKKA, whose fluid sound draws equally from trap, boom bap and futuristic funk, as heard on the group’s self-titled 2017 album. South Carolina’s Shyland Flowers puts an old-school spin on indie rap, and Atlanta emcee Bastard Hootie makes his Athens debut. Locals Motorhead 2x and Trvy round things out for The Garden Bed’s first edition.
