John Vanderslice

A creative polyglot whose acclaimed work spans the fields of music, sound engineering and photography, Florida native John Vanderslice is one of indie rock’s most quietly influential figures. As the owner of Bay Area institution Tiny Telephone Recording, Vanderslice is responsible for the rich yet intimate production of albums by The Mountain Goats and Spoon, among others. An accomplished solo artist whose work incorporates acoustic instruments, strings and electronics, Vanderslice released his 11th full-length album, The Cedars, earlier this year. He plays Athens as part of an Undertow Music Living Room Tour, where artists play unconventional venues that are revealed upon ticket purchase at undertowshows.com.
