Night Glitter

Known for her frequent vocal contributions to electronic music titans Thievery Corporation, singer-songwriter LouLou Ghelichkhani now struts her stuff as the leader of Austin, TX-based outfit Night Glitter. Born in California and raised in Paris, the Iranian musician puts her patchwork background on creative display with Night Glitter’s recent debut EP, Hangin’ on a Dream, where French pop sensibilities and Middle Eastern-inspired melodies meet spacious Southwest psych-rock. The cosmic culture blend succeeds wildly on songs like the title track and closer “Le Passage,” a synth-laden space jam that evokes the best work of fellow French mood-setters Air.
