Locate S,1, Surface to Air Missive, Godcaster, Sarah Swillum

Under the moniker Locate S,1, singer-songwriter Christina Schneider released one of the coolest and most capable local art-pop records in a hot minute with last year’s Healing Contest, produced by Schneider’s partner, of Montreal frontman Kevin Barnes, and released on Barnes’ label, Sybaritic Peer. Schneider has since evolved the project from recording endeavor to full-fledged band, and has played locally quite a bit over the past few months, giving Athens a welcome taste of her spacy, jazz-inflected creations. Locate S,1 plays the Caledonia Saturday, along with local pop experimenters Surface to Air Missive and Sarah Swillum, plus eclectic Philly five-piece Godcaster.
