Project Safe’s annual event, inspired by the nationally televised competition, pairs local celebrities with professional dance instructors for a night of entertaining choreographed routines. This year’s contestants include Janet Geddis and Michael Fulford, April Ross and Jay Varnedoe, Rob Sutherland and Natalie Cox, Cathy Rumfelt and Grace Bagwell Adams, Tonya Dugas and Devin Dennis, Kathryn Lookofsky and Chris Weaver, Nathan Altman and Josh Truitt, Elite the Showstoppa and Allia Siler, Kim Jensen and Fuad Elhage, and Lauren Pearson and Jessica Bortle. Proceeds support survivors of domestic violence through rehousing, education and outreach, support groups and emergency shelter.
