Tyler Ramsey

Another talented Asheville-area guitarist hits Athens this week, as Tyler Ramsey plays Hendershot’s Thursday. Best known as the former lead guitarist for popular indie-rock outfit Band of Horses, Ramsey left that group in 2017 and has since refocused on his solo career. For the Morning, Ramsey’s first solo LP since 2011’s The Valley Wind, is out next month via Fantasy Records and reflects the songwriter’s recent dual journey into fatherhood and country living. First single “A Dream of Home” is cool and unhurried, imbued with springtime warmth and featuring plenty of Horses-esque vocal harmonies.
