In addition to being featured in media outlets like Paste magazine and Viceland, Atlanta-based stand-up comedian Samm Severin has opened for the likes of Janeane Garofalo, Kyle Kinane and Barry Crimmins. Produced by Chunklet Industries, her debut album, Stoned and Sad, was recorded at Flicker Theatre and Bar last July. Currently, Severin is a co-host of “Pieces of Trash,” a new podcast about how to turn trash into treasured bongs. She also writes for cartoons and performs in a Nirvana tribute band outside of performing stand-up. In addition to her performances, Severin will host Moonlight Theater Company’s first open-mic event for local comedians on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 8:30 p.m.
