Blues Night With Big C

An immutable local fixture with a larger-than-life presence, Clarence “Big C” Cameron has been at the nucleus of the town’s music scene for years. As the leader of Big C and the Velvet Delta and, more recently, Big C and the Moonshynes, Cameron has kept the Classic City’s blues business booming, thanks to his commanding singing voice and ever-expanding network of talented multi-instrumentalist friends. Cameron’s recurring blues jam at downtown dive Nowhere Bar, held the first Monday evening of each month and featuring a rotating cast of ringers, is a haven for blues players and aficionados alike. With its February edition, the event celebrates seven years as one of the best-kept secrets in Athens music.
