Michael Oliveri

WUGA’s creative fundraising series Artists in Residence drops into the home and studio of Michael Oliveri for an afternoon of exploring artwork. Well-known as an associator professor and founder of the ArtX program at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, Oliveri is a conceptual artist as well as a product and graphic designer. With a background studying sculpture at the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA in New Genre studies from UCLA, his body of work is extremely diverse, ranging from surfboards and furniture, to nano-scale photographic landscapes, to site-specific installations often incorporating light and sound. An interview with Oliveri will be broadcasted on-air leading up to the event. RSVP by contacting 706-542-9842 or wuga@uga.edu.
