St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Friday is St. Patrick’s Day, which means the streets of downtown will be saturated with puddles of (festive green!) puke long before 2 a.m. Look, there’s no shame in celebrating America’s drunkest holiday just like the rest of the country, but you can at least avoid the Irish Car Bombs in favor of something a little, well, craftier. Southern Brewing’s second annual shindig will feature music from Irish folk-rock outfit Repent at Leisure, and the brewery will serve up 26 of its tasty offerings, including the Cuchulainn Irish Red. The malt used to brew the limited-edition beer is imported from a small Irish farm called Loughran Malt, and is based on a 108-year-old family recipe. Doesn’t that sound nicer than Technicolor Bud Light?
