In addition to being a staple of the local music scene, Jim Wilson happens to be a visual artist. His exhibition “First Depressions” reflects a positive method of coming to terms with being diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder, a life event that coincided with enrolling at the University of North Georgia for studio art. Organized under Sun Snake Artist Revolution, his new LLC that serves as an umbrella for his music, artwork and merchandise, each Saturday in November has featured a lineup of his projects, such as Los Cantares and Lassine Kouyate, alongside friends’ groups. For the closing reception and final installation, Wilson will perform with Pilgrim, Buffalo Hawk and The TaxiCab Verses, followed by a set from Stoni Taylor and Miles of Stones.
