In addition to the year-round offerings of works by member-artists, the gallery is currently hosting a special exhibition of works by Margo and Art Rosenbaum. Margo, a celebrated photographer and musician with a master’s in drawing and painting, and Art, a painter, muralist and lover of traditional American folk music, have collaborated on countless projects over the years. The two moved to Athens in 1976 when Art began teaching at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, where he has since become Wheatley Professor in Fine Arts emeritus. The opening reception will additionally showcase a new collection of oil paintings of rural landscapes by John Cleaveland, as well as functional, nature-inspired ceramics by Holly. Just Holly.
