The Segar Jazz Affair

For the past two years, WXAG 92.7 radio DJ Dwain Segar has hosted monthly Sunday concerts at The Foundry, drawing a diverse crowd downtown for an evening of live jazz and poetry. The shows, which are aimed at an older crowd and skew towards the easy-listening side of the spectrum, feature area performers who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play in Athens. This month’s Segar Jazz Affair—the series’ 25th show—features Atlanta saxophonist Dwan Bosman, who will play two sets at 6 and 8 p.m. Hazel Roach will present a poetry reading, and Segar himself will spin smooth tunes in between the action.
