Following the 2015 release of The Pit, And No Other Stories, local author Jordan Rothacker’s debut mystery novel explores the religious underbelly of Atlanta through the eyes of police detective Jonathan Wind. Rothacker, who earned a doctorate in comparative literature and a master’s in religion from UGA, has contributed pieces of journalism as well as fiction, poetry and essays to various publications in the past. Hosted by Deeds Publishing, the book launch will include food provided by Heirloom Café, an open bar and live music by Powerkompany, LeeAnn Peppers and Tight Blacks. Sculptor Stan Mullins will also share two of his latest sculptures, a 3D-printed Zeus and a marble Pandora.
