Based out of the Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, the Banff Centre’s annual film festival presents a globally touring collection of environmental, sports and outdoor adventure films. Half-Moon Outfitters will present the festival’s stop in Athens, which will continue its current tour of roughly 400 communities in 35 countries. Each program varies, based on audience feedback, but expect to see 6–10 short films full of pristine wilderness, cultural exploration and action-packed sports, like skiing, biking, climbing and kayaking in some of the world’s most challenging terrains. Proceeds from the screenings will benefit the Georgia Conservancy, a statewide program that advocates protecting natural resources.
