For a special installment of Classic City Tour’s Museum Mile Tour series, The Athens Historic House Museum Association will transport visitors to Christmases past with a Holiday Spirits Tour. The beautiful Church-Waddel-Brumby, T.R.R. Cobb, Taylor-Grady and Ware-Lyndon houses will be adorned in period-specific holiday decor, and each afternoon will feature a theatrical or musical performance in one of the homes. Guides will describe the evolution of Southern holiday traditions—particularly those popular in Athens—over the course of the Federal, Antebellum and Victorian periods.
