Dog Daze Fest

Not so much an actual festival as a stylistically sundry two-day musical party, the fourth annual Dog Daze Fest features a local lineup of young, hungry up-and-comers, including Programs, Monsoon, Woodfangs, Dana Swimmer, Wild of Night, Padre, Strays, Cottonmouth, DIP and more, plus garage-rocking Nashville acts Music Band and Faux Ferocious. On Friday, Nate Mitchell (Cars Can Be Blue, Nate and the Nightmares) will act as DJ in between bands, while Eye Gate provides a psychedelic light show to accompany the music. Saturday, DJ Osmose pumps out the jams. For the full lineup, see the Calendar.

8 p.m. $5 (each night). www.40watt.com
