Strung Out Like the Lights at Christmastime

The fifth Strung Out Like the Lights at Christmastime Empty Stocking Fundraiser (say that three times fast, why don’tcha) returns to Homewood Hills hotspot the Office Lounge this Saturday. Organized by songwriter Dodd Ferrelle and featuring a jam-packed lineup of local music goodness, funds raised at the annual concert go to benefit the Athens Banner-Herald‘s Empty Stocking Fund, which assists low-income Athens families with everyday needs. The list of bands playing this year’s happening—which runs from 5 p.m. until closing time—includes rock and Americana luminaries Bloodkin, Shonna Tucker and Eye Candy, David Barbe and the Quick Hooks, dangfly!, Clay Leverett and the Chasers and many more (see the full schedule in the Calendar). Do good, feel good.
