The musical opens with a book club of middle-aged housewives deciding to read the unlikely bestseller. Through the ladies’ discussions and slapstick show tunes like “I Don’t Make Love,” “There’s a Hole Inside of Me” and “Butthole in Control,” viewers won’t be spared the dirty details of the relationship between naive college student Ana Steele and manipulative businessman Christian Grey. The production steers clear of nudity, but the content is intended for adult eyes and ears only. The Fifty Shades trilogy grew from a Twilight fan fiction into the fastest-selling paperback of all time with over 70 million copies sold worldwide, and with a film adaptation on the way, it’s about time someone poked a little fun at it. The musical starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available for $28–35.
