Pop-Ups, Phickles Cocktails, Cooking Camp and More June Food Events


The Old Pal will host a pop-up by the Plate Sale (Shyretha and Mike Sheats, of Staplehouse, in Atlanta) on Monday, June 12 from 6–8 p.m., with special cocktails and a la carte food at the bar until it runs out.

Do your kids want to be the next Master Chef Junior? Do you just need to get them the heck out of your hair for a while? Either way, you might be interested in the kids’ cooking camps the Olive Basket is offering. Camp runs for a week (cooking is June 12–16, June 26–30 or July 24–28, from 9 a.m.–noon; baking is June 19–23 or July 17–21, 9 a.m.–noon) and costs $200. Craft Public House has two upcoming events, a Phickles cocktail hour on Wednesday, June 14 from 4–6 p.m. ($25 per person; RSVP required to 706-850-4363), and an art pop-up with Jamie Calkin on Tuesday, June 20 from 4–6 p.m. (with happy hour specials, art for sale and a portion of proceeds going to Athfest Educates).

Heirloom Café is throwing itself a sixth birthday party on Sunday, June 18 from 6–9 p.m., with live music, bar snacks, drink specials and cake.
