The Pancake Selfie Express Is Either the Peak or the Nadir of Western Civilization

We’ve officially reached Peak Millennial.

Holiday Inn Express has managed to combine the two things the youngs love most—selfies and brunch—into the Pancake Selfie Express, a van where you can get your face laser-printed onto a pancake.

It is as Harry Carey has foreseen.

The whole thing is so dumb yet genius that I felt compelling to write about it even though it’s a marketing gimmick and free advertising for a hotel chain, but hey, pancakes, so who cares.

The Pancake Selfie Express will be at Baxter Street Bookstore until 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.–noon on the SEC Nation set at Myers Quad and 1:30–4:30 p.m. at Creature Comforts. (The SEC Network will be broadcasting from Athens Saturday for the Georgia-Tennessee game, which is this week’s 3:30 p.m. game on CBS.)

As an added bonus, former Georgia quarterback David Greene will be along for the ride from 11 a.m.–noon Saturday.
