Food Truck Festival Happens Wednesday on Barber Street

Starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Apr. 27), kind of like the title cards that start off each episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” the Jittery Joe’s Roaster on Barber Street will host a food truck/art festival in its parking lot, until 7:30 p.m.

The idea is to gauge the level of interest and possibly make this event a more regular thing, so if you want more food trucks, you should go and give your feedback.

Trucks on hand will include Holy Crepe, Kona Ice, Da Munchiezz (which has been parked on Boulevard lately, next to the now-defunct Streets truck) and Taza (falafel and such).

There’s a Facebook event here.

Food trucks are also able to apply for and purchase permits from Athens-Clarke County’s Central Services division to set up on Thursdays in downtown Athens.
